Grace Lutheran Church, organized in 1947, is proud to celebrate over 60 years of ministry in Uniondale! We are a wonderfully diverse family of believers who come together to give praise and thanks to God. Our Play School is a vital part of our ministry and has been operating in the community for more than 40 years. Inside our doors you will find a welcoming community that is filled with God's spirit and ready to reach out to our neighbor in love and grace.
Our members come to us from a variety of backgrounds and over 20 different nations of origin. Grace Lutheran Church has evolved to become a vibrant, multi-ethnic congregation that represents the rich diversity of the Uniondale community.
Our families are involved in our Christian Education, fellowship, adult and youth ministry programs. We are blessed that God has brought us together in this place.
As a Lutheran church we are a part of the ELCA or Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (www.elca.org) and the Metropolitan New York Synod (www.mnys.org).
As Lutherans we believe in the amazing power of God's grace. The gift of life is given to all through the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We lift up the importance of the sacraments - Baptism and Holy Communion - as ways that the infinite power of God touches our world. Each week we gather to share the bread and wine, to be refreshed and made whole again. There is always space for you at the Lord's table. Please join us for worship on Sunday morning and experience what Grace is all about!
Our building is used by community groups such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and AA. We are also home to the New LIFE Center food pantry of Lutheran Social Services of New York (www.lssny.org). Look under Our Ministries for detailed information and hours.
